I'm halfway through listening to this one but I think I like it better than the original. It has a bit more feeling/emotion to it.

Yeah, these improv bits often seem superior to me as well.
But if I go in without a composed piece to make up the frame work they usually don't go so well.

I just wish I were a bit more precise...these seem so sloppy when I listen to them again.

Thanks so much for listening! So few people actually do.

Cool! That was really nice. You have a good head for music, kept the piece moving and it was inventive. Reminds me of Eric Satie.

I don't know who Eric Satie is...I'll have to look him up to see if that was a compliment or not. :)

Yeah, I like Satie quite a bit. I mean, Liszt is awesome, but I can't do Liszt. I can do Satie. It's not virtuoso, but not everything has to be that.
It's like Metallica is viruoso but I'd rather The Beatles.

Rather hear the Beatles...

I think virtuosity is an element of perfomance, not necessarily one of composition.
As such, while Metallica may have more virtuosic performances, I agree with you that the Beates had better music. Maybe I'm wrong (untrained ears and all), but an accessible and beautiful melody like the average Beatles tune is sublime.
