Double Feature Tonight!

"Prance" was the first piece I ever composed completely without a piano. I used a casio keyboard to test out the chord structure and directly built the tune on-screen in Musician I.
I really enjoy this tune, and wish I'd been able to make it longer. I later made a version of this in CakeWalk, a MIDI sequencer, but I don't actually like that version as much.

"Beat1" was my very first experiment with percussion.
I was trying to figure out how to make drums sound good, and had no idea where to go to. This is what I came up with.
It sounds neat, but it is quite repetitive, with the exception of the thumping drum sound.
The loop lasts for only a little over a minute, and does have an actual finish to it (doesn't just fade out), but I probably should have had it loop for about thirty seconds less.

Thanks, Suliana!
Then I think you will love next Wednesday's upload.
It is the LAST of the 8-bit files, and is very exuberant.
Then its on to the 16-bit files. There are only a few of those. Soon I will have nothing left to give, and this blog will go fallow.
